Former Three Lions defender Wes Brown is set to join Blackburn Rovers, according to reports.
The Englishman’s talks with the club were confirmed by Coach Owen Coyle. Coyle told BBC Radio: “As soon as I get the green light from the owners that I can get that over the mine, I’ll pursue it vigorously. The proposal has been sent, it’s just to come back with a yes or no. We kick on from there.”
Wes Brown, 36, started his career at Manchester united. He started with the youth setup before breaking into the senior team in the 1996/97 season. He moved away to Sunderland in 2011 but remains unattached this season after his exit from the Premier League.
